Capo on 4th (Key of Am)
The suds are overflowing on the dishes in the sink,
But Im looking out the window to the backyard and a swing.
Two little boys are playing hard, completely unaware,
That "Mom" is watching every move made by the busy pair.
It all seems like a dream, the way the years have gone so fast,
And Im frightened every day I wake, that our time will all have passed.
I know that Im just borrowing what I may not see again,
Cause angels must go home, while my boys grow into men.
These boys (girls) must be two angels, sent to me
from heaven,
Theres nothing I have done to deserve what Ive been given.
I raised (see) them as my own, but I know that they are His,
So I thank God for the blessed life that He died for me to live...to live.
Even now I hear their laughter every time I wash a bowl,
But now it comes from far away, to echo in my soul.
They left this home to make their own and create new lives to share,
But "Mom" now has two daughters, and Ive been graced with this pair.
Just like when man first appeared and felt so all alone,
God created Eve out of Adams very bone.
He continues to work miracles in every aspect of our lives,
Cause angels have come back to become my two boys wives.
Chorus
The suds are overflowing on the dishes in the sink,
But Im looking out the window to the backyard and a swing.
Two little boys are playing hard, completely unaware,
That "Grandma" watches every move made by the busy pair.
