I could drive along this road with both of my eyes closed,
And still I’d make it home without a scratch.
My mind is so engrained with the steps of my routine,
That I never see the future of my past.
I know I must escape this blindness of my daze,
And rise to see reality awaits.

Daily, the sun will rise, and daily, I’ll run to hide.
But I stumble on this cross in my path,
The one You said to carry on my back.
Daily, the sun will set, and daily, I’ll make a mess.
But slowly You show me the Way,
In a struggle that I go through day by day.

I drop down to my knees, cause I’m torn between two trees,
Even though I know which one to choose.
The cunning of the serpent can be quite persistent,
Convincing me I’ll win, but I lose.
I know I must rely on vision, not my eyes,
To lead me back home, to paradise.

Chorus

Come and clear this temple of my flesh,
And kill the life that only leads to death.

Chorus
