Our Story: Faces in the Crowd is the stage name for the husband and wife duo of Eric and April West. (That's us in the logo!) We are a folk-rock band that plays in coffee shops, restaurants, churches, and other special events around the Permian Basin and surrounding areas of West Texas. We are not full-time musicians, nor is that in our immediate plans, but we have consistently been devoting more of our time to learning, writing, and performing music. It is more than a hobby, but not really an occupation. Let's just call it a passion. If you're going to understand our music (& our passion for it), you might as well know a little more about us: We've been married since June, 1996 and have lived in Midland, Texas since May of 1998. Before that we were in Lubbock, where I attended Texas Tech, and April was at Lubbock Christian University. Now I work for Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. as a civil engineer. April taught second grade at Midland Christian Schools for the last three years, but now stays at home with the newest "Face in the Crowd", Carter Lane West. We also attend Golf Course Road Church of Christ where we sing on praise teams and help lead a care group. We have not recorded any albums, although some of our friends have been given rough demos of several of our songs. Our focus at this point is to perform as often as our schedules allow, but hopefully an album is in the not too distant future. Anything beyond that is speculation and pipe dreams (although if you want to hear about my dreams...) Thanks for Listening, Eric L. West
